OKRA raises £3m ($4.1m) in Series A round
We are excited to announce that we have successfully raised £3 million ($4.16 million) in a Series A round led by the entrepreneur and investor, Jim Cockburn. The funds will be used for further development and productisation of the OKRA engine, and to expand our sales and marketing capabilities.
From delivering insights to driving outcomes
Our CEO Dr Loubna Bouarfa commented: “Healthcare has been dominated by one-off statistical studies. The industry would benefit greatly from shifting to continuously evidence-based data processing in real-time, so they can better adapt to a rapidly changing world. With the OKRA platform, we use artificial intelligence to generate predictions, answers and trigger actions in real time. This will improve outcomes of patients, brands and clients. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to draw on Jim Cockburn’s experience.”
Driving evidence-based outcomes beyond healthcare
“OKRA’s approach is unique and we have assembled a dynamic team to help create a more AI-positive industry mindset. Our outcome-driven approach can be applied to almost every industry, for example in foster care we can use OKRA’s technology to better match children to foster carers and predict their placement success. I’m very excited about the position and opportunity that OKRA has in this field,” comments Jim Cockburn, Investor.
