OKRA.ai collaborates with UNIDO on groundbreaking publication on the adoption of AI by SMEs

CAMBRIDGE, UK – 16 December 2021 – OKRA.ai has collaborated with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) on a groundbreaking publication focusing on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by SMEs. OKRA.ai supported UNIDO in creating policy guidance for the implementation and adoption of AI in developing countries.

UNIDO together with the United Nations International Trade Centre and International Telecommunication Union published: Empowering SMEs of Developing Countries through 4IR Technologies-Artificial Intelligence. The normative document aims to give guidance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries for the adoption and application of artificial intelligence (AI).

Given the significant digital deficit faced by lower-income countries, businesses face unique challenges in integrating advanced technology into business operations and transitioning to the fourth industrial revolution. OKRA.ai, as a leader in Artificial Intelligence solutions for Life Sciences, provided a valuable contribution to the creation of this publication with the aim to provide guidelines, recommendations and insights to policymakers, private industry practitioners, and the research community on the innovation of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and help all countries to bridge the digital divide.

OKRA supports the digital transformation needed for developing countries to drive economic growth and advance towards the 4th industrial revolution reaching the 2030 agenda for sustainable development goals.

OKRA.ai worked closely with other private sector entities for the success of this publication, including Siemens A.G. and Aizon.
