HR Advisor

Part Time, Leiden (Netherlands)

We are looking for a senior HR advisor to support us in our growth of the team and our Leiden office in particular on a part-time basis.

Your Role

As our HR advisor you will focus on team growth through talent acquisition, but also cover all our HR processes and be the first port of call for anything related to HR for our teams. You will work closely with our leadership in this role. Although you will be based in Leiden (The Netherlands), you will be responsible for HR across both our Leiden (NL) and Cambridge (UK) offices.

You will:

  • Drive our recruitment and resourcing, including job description reviews and candidate management

  • Onboard new starters and carrying out induction programs

  • Advise and maintain HR policies and procedures

  • Maintaining employee files and documents

  • Being the first point of contact for HR queries and support for both the UK and NL employees.

  • Keep up to date with employment law in NL and UK (utilising the HR consultancy line for support where needed)

  • Support managers with team retention and growth

  • Processing new starters, leavers, and contractual changes


Your Profile

We are looking for a reliable and independent HR professional that will help us manage and grow our team in our Leiden and Cambridge offices. You have:

  • Strong and effective organisational skills

  • Ability work well independently and as part of a team

  • Commercial awareness (desirable)

  • Ability to build relationships and excellent communication skills

  • Proven experience in relevant roles, relevant experience with technology startups is preferred

  • Clear oral and written communication in English and Dutch
